Step 1 - The Interview
Finding the right builder is the first and most important step when building a custom home. JMJ offers a complimentary face to face meeting with Rick & Kristin to discuss what you are looking for in a builder, answer any questions you may have, and also get a better understanding of the style of home you are looking for. JMJ's goal is for the entire building process to be a stress-free experience for all of our clients from the initial consultation to move in day!
Step 2 - The Design Process
JMJ offers full design services for our clients. Rick has been designing floor plans for over 30 years and enjoys designing custom homes that fit our clients' needs, style, and budget. JMJ has never built the same home twice and loves designing unique homes for each new homeowner.
Step 3 - The Bidding Stage
After the floor plan has been established you will then begin designing the inside of your home. Rick bids each home individually based on the products and design work you choose. He will work with each client until he creates the perfect match for your design and budget.
Step 4 - Signing the Contract
Once the construction contract is signed, we can move forward with the building of your home. We will set up a “startup meeting” with Kristin, our sales director, to go over what comes next. We will discuss how to use our builder app, and go over all the details of the selection process with the new homeowners.
Step 5 - The Building Begins
Throughout the entire building process, you will have continuous communication with the JMJ Team. The app we use keeps you informed with daily updates such as selection information, checklists that need completion, and updated financial information throughout each step of the process. We also send out weekly updates with the goals for the upcoming week and any questions we need confirmed by the homeowner.
Step 6 - Welcome Home
Upon completion, JMJ will help you acclimate yourself with one final walk through to view your new dream home. You’re now ready to move in!
