Choosing the right builder is one of the most important first steps in creating your custom home. At JMJ, we offer a no-pressure, complimentary meeting with Rick and Kristin where you can sit down, talk through what you’re looking for in a builder, ask questions, and share your vision for your future home. Our goal is to make the entire process—from that first conversation to move-in day—as smooth and stress-free as possible for you and your family.

At JMJ, we offer full design services to help bring your vision to life. Rick has been creating custom floor plans for over 30 years and loves working with clients to design homes that match their style, needs, and budget. He and Kristin team up with each homeowner to personalize every detail, making sure the final plan is truly one-of-a-kind. In fact, JMJ has never built the same home twice—we believe every family deserves a home that’s just as unique as they are.

Once your floor plan is finalized, it’s time to start designing the interior of your home. Each home is bid individually based on the materials and design choices you make. We work closely with you throughout the process to find the perfect balance between your vision and your budget—making sure everything feels just right before moving forward.

After the construction contract is signed, we’re ready to get started on building your home. We’ll schedule a “startup meeting” with Kristin, our sales director, to walk you through the next steps. During this meeting, we’ll introduce you to our builder app and explain how it keeps everything organized. We’ll also go over the selection process in detail so you’ll know exactly what to expect as we move forward.

From start to finish, you’ll stay in close communication with the JMJ Team. You’ll get to know John and Luke, our job site managers, who help keep everything on track and running smoothly. We use the Buildertrend app to keep you in the loop with daily updates—including selection info, to-do checklists, and up-to-date financial details. You’ll also receive weekly updates with the goals for the upcoming week, along with any questions we need your input on. We’re here to make sure you feel confident and informed every step of the way.

Once your home is complete, we’ll do a final walk-through with you to make sure everything is just the way you imagined. It’s a chance to get familiar with your new space and ask any last questions. You’ll also receive a complete homeowner’s manual that includes all your selections and warranty details. After that, it’s time to move in and start making memories in your new dream home!
