Rick Bivins is the owner and heart behind JMJ Custom Homes. Over the past 30 years, he’s grown this small, family-run business into an award-winning company, all while staying hands-on every step of the way. Rick is personally involved in each home, from the very first meeting to the final walk-through. He works closely with every client to design a home that’s completely unique—tailored to their exact vision and lifestyle. His passion for detail shines through in every aspect of the homes he builds, making each one truly one-of-a-kind. Rick values honesty, trust, and building lasting relationships with the families he works with—long after the keys are handed over.

Kristin officially joined JMJ in 2018 as the Director of Marketing and Sales, but she’ll tell you that she’s been helping her dad, Rick, behind the scenes her whole life. With a strong work ethic and a keen eye for detail, Kristin plays a crucial role throughout the entire building process. She works closely with our clients, assisting with selections and keeping everything organized through the Buildertrend app, which connects homeowners, subcontractors, and suppliers. John, or “Bucket” as everyone knows him, has been working alongside his dad, Rick, on job sites since he was 7 years old. With a natural passion for construction, he always knew he wanted to follow in his dad’s footsteps. Starting so young has given him a unique advantage. Specializing in trim work, John truly brings our homes to life, adding those finishing touches that make a house feel like a home. He’s grown up with a deep appreciation for the quality JMJ is known for and continues to learn all aspects of the business from Rick.

Luke, Rick’s youngest son, is the newest full-time member of the JMJ Team. Having worked on JMJ job sites from a young age, Luke is eager to continue learning about every aspect of construction. We’re thrilled to welcome another family member into the business. Growing up surrounded by the high quality and strong reputation that JMJ is known for, Luke has quickly become an essential part of our team.
